Potions Class is the third Potter Puppet Pals episode and the first to be filmed in live-action.
PlotEditSnape is ready to teach potions class to Harry, Ron, and Hermione, who are enthusiastic to learn. However, instead of telling them how to make a potion, Snape begins with an incredibly long monologue that mocks his line from The Sorcerer's Stone, and says he can teach them how to admire the beauty of the shaking cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate liquid that can creep through human veins, bewitching the mind and ensnaring the senses, bottle fame, brew glory, even put a stopper in death, to which it creeps out and bores the trio. But then his speech becomes more interesting, impressing Ron on how to pickle victory, Hermione on how to secrete success, and Harry on how to score with hot babes. Snape then dismisses the class, and while Hermione and Ron leave, Harry stays behind and demands Snape to teach him how to score hot babes, but Snape throws Harry out. Dumbledore then comes in, and asks for wizard liquids (which Snape says he is fresh out), enchanted juice (which Snape refuses to give), and expired gorilla milk (Snape points out that has no magical properties). Dumbledore says that expired gorilla milk does a wonder on his bowels, and despite creeping Snape out, he then directs Dumbledore to his stores, and Dumbledore laughs.
- This is the first episode filmed in live-action. This is also the last to be filmed behind a couch. The rest of the episodes will be filmed on a professional puppet stage.
